From Wednesday the 25th through Friday the 27th of March 2009, the Secura trade exhibition will be held for the seventh time at the Brussels Expo exhibition centre in Brussels. Bata Industrials is one of the 220 exhibitors at this event, the largest meeting platform for the safety and security industry in Belgium.

Although the biannual exhibition attracted no fewer than 8000 visitors at the 2007 edition of the show, the chances are very good that the coming edition will exceed this in terms of visitor numbers. This expectation is owed nearly entirely to the exhibition's new theme. With ‘Safety & Security at work’, an angle was chosen that, compared with the previous ‘Exhibition for Safety and Welfare at Work’ theme, guarantees a more professional image, particularly when one considers the nature of the group of exhibitors at this year’s edition. Additionally, this new theme allows Secura to better meet the needs of the target groups. ‘Safety at work’ thus represents prevention, welfare and safety of employees on the work floor.

Various collections
This year will mark the fourth time that Bata Industrials will participate in this event. In hall 1 (‘Safety at work’), where the focus is on personal protection equipment, work clothing and uniforms, Bata will display various collections at its 60m2 stand, number H1-B1. First, the new models Traxx 104, 105 and 106 with the waterproof and breathable GORE-TEX laminate. Three new products which, just like the other five models from this collection, ensure that the wearer’s feet will stay warm and dry in wet work environments.
In addition, visitors will be able to admire with the new Traxx models 212, 213 and 214, with the revolutionary Boa lacing system.
This also applies to the expanded ESD collection, a range of safety shoes that prevent Electro Static Discharge on the work floor, and the completely renewed Wallstreet collection: the business-like safety shoe for the manager who spends time both on the work floor as well as in the office.
Finally, visitors will also have the opportunity to get to know the functional sock collection and the other models from The Natural, BS2000, Traxx, Elegance, Bison and Mammoet collections.

Febelsafe
During Secura 2009, several exhibitors will be giving practical demonstrations for the visitors. Febelsafe, the Belgian association for suppliers and service providers active in the industry dedicated to safety and welfare at work will also be an exhibitor at the event. At its own stand in the so-called ‘Febelsafe village’, visitors can see various product presentations and tests. As a Febelsafe member, Bata Industrials will also make safety shoes available for these presentations.
