From the 23rd to the 25th of March, the Brussels Expo centre was under the spell of the Secura 2011 exhibition. This event for companies active in the fields of prevention, safety and welfare gave Bata the opportunity to present its latest developments to over 7000 visitors.

The visitors to the Bata Industrials stand, including occupational health and safety physicians, safety experts, distributors and end users, were very impressed with the new presentation which focused on ‘The Energy Footwear’ theme. Particular interest was shown in the ‘Walkline’, a technology that reinforces the Bata Energy System concept. Developed for consumers, hobbyists, semi-professionals and people running a one-man business, the new Bickz collection also attracted well-deserved attention. Of course there was lots more to see at the Bata stand, such as the full grain leather Traxx models with the revolutionary Boa lacing system.



Demonstrations
The stand of Febelsafe (the Belgian association for suppliers and service providers active in the industry dedicated to safety and welfare at work) featured a real safety platform. Through various practical demonstrations, the importance of the proper personal protection equipment (PPE) was emphasised. In the ‘What’s New Corner', people could admire the latest PPE during a fashion show. As a Febelsafe member, Bata Industrials made safety shoes and socks available for these activities.
