One of the ways Bata Industrials makes a positive contribution to a sustainable society is through its support of the Dutch 3FM’s Serious Request. Instead of sending Christmas cards to its customers and other business associates, this year Bata Industrials has decided to make a donation to the 3FM Serious Request.

3FM Serious Request
For the past six years, three of the 3FM DJs spend one week in what is known as the Glazen Huis (‘glass house’) during the week before Christmas. For six days, they fast, and produce live radio and television programmes to draw attention to what is referred to as ‘a silent disaster’. The money that is raised this year from Eindhoven (Netherlands), the city where the glass house is located, will go towards helping children who have lost one or more parents to AIDS.
