Do you buy breathable safety shoes just for the summer season?
News > Bata Industrials shows New Energy Footwear during Expoprotection 2010

Accidents, physical symptoms and stress on the work floor unfortunately result in a high rate of absence due to illness. Held from 2 through 5 November this year, the Expoprotection exhibition showed the 23.000 visitors various solutions in the field of “Safety and Health at Work”. At stand G113, Bata Industrials displayed the new Energy Footwear line. Even after a long day at work, wearers will have more energy.

New Energy Footwear
Using the catchy slogan, New Energy Footwear, Bata Industrials displayed one of its latest developments to reinforce the concept of the Bata Energy System, the Walkline. This technology ensures the ideal functioning of the foot. Wearers are less prone to become tired, thus remaining fit and energetic longer.

In addition to these safety shoes, there was naturally also a selection of other models from the Bata collection on display. Visitors to Bata’s stand were very enthusiastic about the Traxx models with the Boa lacing system and the new Bickz collection. The Bata-adapt concept was also very well received. This concept offers a suitable solution for everyone, for those with ‘normal’ to ‘sick’ feet, in the form of a standard safety shoe to a customised orthopaedic safety shoe.

Safety shoe for miners in Chile
At the stand, visitors could also admire the special safety shoe that was made for the trapped Chilean miners, with which Bata Industrials recently made the news. Also represented in Chile, Bata developed this shoe because the miners trapped underground were having a lot of problems with their feet. However, the only way to get the specially made safety shoe down through the narrow shaft to the miners below was to produce this in separate components. The shoe that was developed consists of three components: a breathable inner sock with a steel toecap, a leather shoe with a soft rubber sole that may be folded easily, and a comfortable inlay sole. All of the components were on display at the stand, including the complete rolled-up packages.

The Expoprotection represents the end of Bata Industrials’ exhibition participation for this year. We’re ready for 2011, which will feature participation in the exhibitions Secura (Brussels, Belgium), Bouwbeurs (Utrecht, the Netherlands) and of course the A+A (Dusseldorf, Germany). Further information about these exhibitions will be published on this website as the exhibition dates approach.
