News > Bata Industrials looks back with satisfaction on SAWO 2010
The SAWO, which took place from 26 to 29 April in Poznan - the major Polish trade fair centre - provided an exciting opportunity for Bata to showcase its latest developments. Attracting almost 200 exhibitors, over the course of four days, nearly 15,000 visitors passed through its doors.
Bata Industrials exhibited an extensive range of safety footwear from stand number 75 at the show. The main eye-catchers were the WorkMates collection and models with the Boa lacing system and the GORE-TEX laminate. The Indoro and Sandoro models - designed for drier surroundings – also received close scrutiny. Visitors to the stand expressed enthusiasm for the extensive range of designs and safety standards as well as the excellent price-quality ratio.
The stand was thronged by representatives from the automotive industry, the (road) construction world, the public transport sector and the oil and chemical industry. Contact was also established with potential new Polish representatives. This bodes well for Bata’s aim of nationwide coverage by the end of 2010.
Expanding into Central and Eastern Europe In addition to Poland, Bata continues to invest in other Central and Eastern European countries. For instance, two new sales managers have recently been appointed in Slovakia and the Czech Republic: Rasto Faltin and David Hulinsky respectively.
Later this year, Bata will be participating at the Interprotec fair in Brno (Czech republic) from 13 to 17 September. More information will follow in due course.
