The joint participation in the 2009 Bouwbeurs (International Building and Construction Fair) by Bata Industrials and Safety Centre International was a huge success. Directors and owners of construction companies in particular found their way to the 132 m2 stand in Hall 10 at the Jaarbeurs exhibition centre in Utrecht, the Netherlands.

Held from 9 through 14 February, the professional event attracted nearly 117,000 visitors. As compared with the previous edition of the event held in 2007, this number represented an increase of an amazing 14,000 visitors. The Thursday in particular was a busy day at this biannual exhibition, where Bata Industrials displayed numerous new products within the ‘safety and health at work’ segment. Visitors demonstrated particular interest in the new models from the Traxx collection with the revolutionary Boa lacing system, the extensive collection of safety shoes with the waterproof, breathable GORE-TEX laminate, and the rugged Mammoet collection. And of course the interesting presentation at the tastefully designed stand E010 was combined with all of the action and interaction one would expect from Bata. Visitors were even given the opportunity to try on and test shoes from the various collections.

Bata Industrials’ participation in this exhibition was given an added colourful touch this year thanks to the joint presentation with its distributor, Safety Centre International. The introduction of the new lines ProJob Swedish Workwear and Craft Functional Underwear together with Bata Industrials’ own safety footwear resulted in a complete presentation of high-quality, functional accessories for the work floor.
