The activities of the Bata Branded Business (BBB) division have become more and more substantial. Since they have started to group some important activities, such as; product development, sourcing and marketing/branding on an international scale, they have been successful in achieving double digit growth in the professional footwear business in all the joining countries.

During the most important exhibition in safety industry, the semi-annual A+A in Düsseldorf (Germany), the BBB group has presented Bata’s Branded Business as a truly global activity. Days before the show, the group held a meeting in Best (The Netherlands), with representatives from all continents:

Latam: Luis Vergara and Luis Pinto
South Africa: Alex Gordon and Clinton Soutter
Australia: Owen Begg
New Zealand: Tony Harmer
India: Prashant Tiwari
Europe: Govert van der Riet and Jos Sengers
Bata Branded Business: Harm Daems 

         

Important decisions were taken on products, new suppliers, supply chain management (distribution channels), communication, web strategy, branding and much more. They have brainstormed some new opportunities in order to accelerate growth and key success factors were shared in order to multiply the experiences. They have confirmed that in order to become a substantial leg to the BSO, they have to increase co-operation and combine strengths. Different team members have been made responsible for special projects 

    

After the two day meeting, the group has joined the A+A to fully participate, with on the stand dedicated area’s with products that are being sold in the specific regions.
